POTD

Ok here's my POTD with just a few from Mother's Day on the sandbar with the family. I don't usually care for the ocean bc we don't have that beautiful crystal slear water like the Bahamas:) but I went and had a blast!! It was so much fun cause for the first time my hubby let me bring my camera( he doesn't usually bc we have jetskis and he thinks it'll get wet) but he did and so I had a blast getting pics of everyone:) Here are just a few!


This first one is of big brother after being told "No he could not drive the ski by himself" haha as if!











This is the dead shrimp my youngest found in the water and since I told him we were NOT bringing it home he settled for a pic pf it. LOL, I love the look on his face! eeeewwww!!









And this last one is just a random shot of him playing in the sand which he hated to do last year. He's slightly OCD and so this is a major accomplishment for him. Pre-K has done wonders for him. Oh and sorry about the pics, as soon as I figure out how to straighten them up for you I will:)

Just A few Macro...

From today. I just wanted to share these few Macro's. I've been practicing with my 24-85 macro lense and I am really loving it. Everytime I try to change it I just can't bring myself to do it, which is unusual for me since I am usually a zoom girl but this lense is just so awesome!! We went to the Sandbar for Mother's day and I ended up taking my 18-200 and it killed me to leave this lense but it all worked out fine and maybe when I edit them I'll post some. Anyway thanks for stopping by:) Oh and as usual any CC is greatly appreciated:)

Yes I Know...

May be you guys could help me choose which way you like it better. The crop or the original? I'm so confused:)
Some of you will recognize this picture as one from a few days ago.... or at least one similar. This shot was taken today down at the little Town Festival we have every year. The thing is we are having a county calander sontest and the shot you submit has to be taken today, well this is all I got and I think it's ok but I wish you could see the rflection of the clouds more clearly and thie picture wasn't so dark. Oh well, probably won't win anyway as I am sure there are a ton of way more talented Photog's in my area,especially since I just saw quite a few at the festival) Anyway Just thought I'd see what ya think of the pic. Maybe I'll go out and try to get a sunset later, that would be better:)

So Stumped....

Well as excited as I was yesterday about joing this class, I am just as stumped today on the first assignment. Not the lesson itself but what I'm gonna shoot. I just know there are a ton of really talented people in this class and I don't want to post something boring and un-original. I just don't know what to do! Oh well, I'm sure it will come to me. I just have to get off my butt and get to snapping right?
On a completely different note, I was looking at some other blogs last night and ran across one that talked about this accident from this wk. It happened all the way across the US from me but it feels so close to home..... You know as a mother it is just so frightening sometimes to think there may come a day when you would have to do the unthinkable and bury one of your own children. My heart just weeps for these parent in CA who have to bury, not one, or even two, but all three of their children ths weekend.And all under the age of 10 too... I simply CAN NOT IMAGINE their pain right now and so thought it only humane that ask anyone who comes across this blog to please send a prayer their way today. All this and on mother's day weekend:( I tell you, my heart is breaking for them right now. Thank You.

So Excited

I am just so thrilled!! I got to sign up for Amber Ludlow's Photography Class today and I am so excited to finally be able to hone in on my skills. Then as I was reading her first lesson I learned that she has no "formal training" and I was so encouraged by this. I guess because I've never had any either and am so nervous about finally trying to make it in this Business. Anyway I just am so excited like I said and can't wait to get started:) Of course now I have tons of work to do so that means less time on here.... Well here are a few from the other day.

The View From Here!

Well yesterday I went on search of the perfect picture, or really just anything besides what I have since I have run out of things to edit and have gotten so desperate I've just been trying all kinds of different things on my favs:) LOL Oh well gotta stay busy right? The weather hasn't been all that great here so I've not been in much of a mood to go out but yesterday was nice so I went:) And here's a few of my catches. I just loved the one of the couple sitting out by the ocean admiring the view. I love to do that myself, although I don't have chairs:(

Finding Emotion

Ok so I have been having a really hard time finding some emotion this week. I mean if you really think about it that's every photo with a person in it. As a lover of Photography it is my goal to capture all the Emotion of the time being shown. There are so many different ways to do this I can't even begin but I did get a few at the zoo this weekend that I think capture some "real" emotion. Could just be me though, Just how I see them.
